Union Studios Branding

We were trusted to bring the visual identity for Union Studios Ottawa to life, prior to the doors even opening!

Union Studios embodies a place where everybody can dance and everybody should dance! It is an inclusive and welcoming facility for dancers of all skill levels, race, sexuality, size, age, or religion. A training facility for dancers to build their skills, reconnect, or try something entirely new.

A studio space and business concept founded by Laura Merani; an incredibly passionate and driven individual with a strong creative background and extensive amount of dance training and experience. The visual identity was inspired by the Union Jack flag 🇬🇧 (Laura’s roots) you can see how we pulled the well known + symbol imagery into the brand identity. Highlighting the letting ‘I’ is representative of improvement, intensity, innovation and feeling ignited, however it is most symbolic of the definition behind ‘union’ and that is ‘intersect’. All descriptive words of what Union Studios is setting out to achieve and bring forth within the community.
